Shropshire fire crews tackle A5 lorry blaze

Fire fighters tackled a blaze which started in the brakes of a lorry on the A5 in Shropshire this afternoon.

The fire broke out on the eastbound carriageway from Preston to Cluddley at 2.50pm.

Two crews from Shrewsbury, a support engine from Wellington and an operations officer went to the scene.

They used a hose reel jet and thermal image camera to put out the flames by 3.20pm.
