Baby crocodile George – a Caiman crocodile – has become the latest arrival at Hoo Farm Animal Kingdom in Preston on the Weald Moors, north of Telford.

Visitors will be able to see George and some of the 30 different types of reptiles on the mile-long nature trail set within 32 acres of woodland and paddocks at the farm.

Caimans are usually smaller reptiles, averaging four to six feet in length and are native to tropical regions of Central and South America, where they live along rivers, streams, and lakes.

Hoo Farm is open seven days a week and a range of family activities are planned for the last two weeks of the summer holidays. The farm also houses more than 125 different breeds of animals and reptiles including lemurs, donkeys, water buffalo, porcupines, middle-white pigs, meerkats and parrots.

Visitors can get involved with lamb and deer feeding, animal handling and pony rides.

Families can also enjoy the indoor and outdoor play and picnic areas, gift shop and coffee shop.

Admission is £7.95, with children under two free.

A family ticket for five can be purchased for £37. For more information about the farm call (01952) 677917 or visit www.hoofarm.com
