Leo Blair, who lived in Shrewsbury and was a well-known Shropshire figure, died at the ago of 89 last November.

Probate records show the former barrister and law lecturer left a net estate worth £295,000.

His will left a legacy of £50,000 to his daughter Sarah, 56. The rest of the estate was then divided between all three of his children, meaning Sarah, Mr Blair and their elder brother Sir William, 63, a High Court judge, each receive £80,000.

Mr Blair was close to his father, who he described as "a remarkable man." He named his youngest son after him.

After the death of his wife Hazel – Mr Blair's mother – in 1975, Leo remarried and moved to Shropshire with his second wife, Olwyn.
