Tens of millions of people have watched the YouTube phenomenon that takes pop songs and gives them a bizarre twist with the addition of a goat's bleat.

The results have become a huge craze, especially among youngsters who internet swap links by text.

The craze started with the arrival of the Screaming Goat video, which has had more than eight million views.

This then spawned a range of parody videos featuring other farmyard divas.

This all changed when someone merged the Screaming Goat with Taylor Swift's top five hit, I Knew You Were Trouble.

By happy coincidence, the goat's bleat fits perfectly with the song, and various versions of the clip together boast more than 10 million hits.

From there, the trend has gone viral, with everyone given the goat treatment. No celebrity is safe from the Screaming Goat.

YouTube pranksters are now 'kidding' around by adding its cries to a range of songs including Adele's Rolling in the Deep and Justin Bieber's Baby.

Next on their list could be Goat-ye's Somebody That I Used to Know or Kim Wilde's Kids in America.

The formula isn't always successful – but is sure to give some laughs.
