Xenna Kristian, 18, even faces insults from One Direction fans in the street believing she is the real I Knew You Were Trouble singer.

The real Taylor Swift, 23, briefly dated pop hunk Harry Styles, 18, before they split up after Christmas.

The real Taylor Swift.

Student Xenna, from Telford, said: "One day I was shopping in Liverpool and somebody walked past and suddenly stopped and said 'oh my God'. They actually thought I was Taylor Swift.

Most people are really nice but I do get young girls shouting at me 'leave Harry alone'."

Aspiring actress Xenna said: "It was the start of last year that somebody started mentioning that I looked like Taylor Swift and it gradually got more frequent.

"I would go out and would just walk to the toilets in a club or walk around the shops and loads of people would come up to me and say 'you really look like her'.

"They actually think I am Taylor Swift and even though I told them I wasn't, in a British accent, they still ask me to pose for a photo."

Xenna currently splits her time between working at Superdry in Telford and Jenko's Mongolian Barbecue, Ketley, and studying performing arts and photography at New College Telford.

She lives with her parents Pauline, 56, and Stephan, 53, who run a B&B, along with her two sisters, Teiha, 15, and Tahnee, 24, and brother Jason, 26.

As well as bearing an uncanny resemblance to Taylor Swift, who has released a number of albums including Fearless and Red, Xenna is also a talented actress, singer and dancer.

She has already represented the UK at a hip-hop international dance competition in Las Vegas and been an extra in hit TV shows DCI Banks and Fresh Meat.

Her stunning good looks and amazing voice have even seen the aspiring actress snapped up by a talent agency this month.

Xenna, of St Georges, added: "I never used to play up to it when I was younger but I suppose my hair is naturally curly like Taylor Swift's.

"Then when she got hers cut short and had the straight fringe, I had mine shorter too which was a coincidence.

"But people couldn't believe how much I looked like her when I had a straight fringe.

"I've done my own versions of her songs at college, I did a slower version of 'I Knew You Were Trouble' that everyone loved.

"But now I am starting work as a lookalike I am trying to perfect her accent and singing exactly how she does.

"I spend hours a day watching her music videos and performances and practice in the living room.

"I'm also thinking about the clothes she wears. She is quite quirky and has her own style but I like the stuff she is seen in.

"I already have a few outfits which is like the things she wears but I always make sure I look when she is photographed."

Xenna recently had the lead role of Sarah in a performance of the musical Our House at The Place, Oakengates, with her college.

She added: "My plan is to do some look-alike work and then hopefully it will kick-start my acting career. I want to be known as Xenna. I would love to get into TV work but like doing theatre stuff too."
