Man sentenced over stun gun and drugs in Ludlow
A man has been ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid work after he admitted growing cannabis plants and owning a stun gun at a house in Ludlow.
Gregory Smith, 39, admitted he grew three cannabis plants for his own use at a friend's home in Potters Close, Bucknell. He also admitted abstracting electricity from a neighbouring property and owning the weapon.
Mrs Debra White, for Clark, told Shrewsbury Crown Court that he had bought the weapon in a mixed lot at an auction. She said he had never attempted to use it, and that it was broken.
Mr Recorder Simon Ward ordered Smith to pay £1,200 costs and placed him under a 12-month community order with a requirement of 150 hours of community service.
He also ordered the destruction of the plants and gun.
