More snow forecast for the weekend

Officials say there is the chance of heavy snow on Sunday and Monday as an incoming weather front hits cold air, although the situation remains very uncertain at present.

Forecasters say 'heavy' snow will also fall across Scotland and eastern parts of England, especially the north-east, throughout Sunday afternoon and night.

But the next few days will bring some respite, with temperatures of between 3C (37F) and 7C (45F).
