The charity shared part of the Shropshire Housing Alliance office in High Street in Market Drayton but will no longer operate from the town because there are not enough qualified advisers.

Officials said the decision has been made 'with regret' and they hoped to be able to bring it back if more people signed up for training again in the future.

Citizen's Advice has five offices in the Shropshire Council area – Oswestry, Whitchurch, Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Bridgnorth.

Pam Dunnill, the area manager for Citizen's Advice in Shropshire, said there were not enough people to cover all areas.

She said: "It is with regret that we have had to take this decision but if circumstances change we would be happy to go back."

It comes after Citizens Advice had to reduce the hours that the Whitchurch branch opened because of a lack of volunteers.
