Rising stars in county for new comedy night
A new comedy club featuring up-and-coming acts on the national circuit will be launched in a town in Shropshire in the new year.

Ludlow Assembly Rooms will launch the club on January 30 and has already secured the services of Joe Lycett, who has appeared on Celebrity Juice and Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and Radio 1's Tom Deacon for its first night.
Jenna Blair, marketing manager for Ludlow Assembly Rooms, said a regular comedy slot would be a welcome boost to the live entertainment scene in the town.
She said: "On January 30 Ludlow Assembly Rooms will launch a brand new monthly comedy club showcasing the funniest rising stars on the stand-up circuit. A hilarious line-up of some of the UK's hottest acts are billed to perform in Oscars every last Wednesday of the month throughout 2013.
"January's gig will see witty Joe Lycett as MC who the audience will recognise from numerous TV appearances including Celebrity Juice, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, 8 out of 10 Cats and Epic Win. He will use Ludlow as a warm-up performance before his solo show Some Lycett Hot begins in London in February.
"He will return to Ludlow later in the spring season as part of the line-up for the April comedy club.
"Also appearing in January are Chortle Award nominee Michael Fabbri, star of Radio One and Dave's One Night Stand Tom Deacon and Ava Vidal, who has appeared on Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow, The World Stands Up, and Kings of Comedy.
"It's been some time since Ludlow has had a regular comedy slot and we thought it was about time we re-introduced one."
