Dancers at the Rohan Brown Salsa Class at the Lion Hotel on Wyle Cop, led by international Salsa teacher Rohan Brown, from Birmingham, have incorporated the Olympic champion's signature 'lightning bolt' move into a new dance routine.

Class member Nigel Hinton said: "We discussed my idea for a move based on the trademark move and over a couple of weeks he (Rohan) developed the idea into a full 'Salsa Rueda' dance move." The Salsa routine also features a move where dancers put their fingers to their lips – another Bolt signature.

Rohan has been teaching Salsa in the UK for several years.

He travels all over the world to Salsa events and congresses.

He has been coming to Shrewsbury to teach classes regularly for the last 12 years.

Classes start at 8pm on Tuesdays at The Lion Hotel, Shrewsbury.

Nicknamed the 'lighting bolt', Jamaican sprinter Bolt was the first man to achieve consecutive gold medals in the 100m and 200m during the 2008 and 2012 Olympics.

He also won the men's 4x100m relay at the London Olympic Games this summer.

There are several weekly Salsa dance classes held on different evenings all over Shropshire.

These include Shrewsbury, Oswestry, Telford, Shifnal and Bridgnorth.
