Views on poultry units to be heard
Residents will be able to have their say next week on controversial plans for new poultry units housing more than 300,000 chickens in the Shropshire countryside.
An environmental permit application for six poultry units at Vantage Farm, Bletchley, near Market Drayton, has been submitted to Environment Agency.
The Environment Agency are inviting the public to comment on this permit application through their public consultation, which will run from Friday 24 August until Monday 8 October 2012.
As part of this, a drop on session will take place on Tuesday 18th September at Moreton Say Village Hall between 3.30 and 7.30pm.
If you can't make the drop in session you can view and make your comments on the application by contacting the Environment Agency Public Register Coordinator on 01743 283410 or emailing midswest@environment-agency.gov.uk.
