Shropshire's biggest junior football club has been saved from closure after 15 new committee members came forward at the 11th hour.
Bosses at Nova United Football in Newport warned that the 37-year-old club could be just two weeks away from folding.
But there was relief when 60 people turned up for a crisis meeting on Thursday, five times more attended the first AGM.
All 20 positions on the committee have now been filled, including the chairman's role, which was taken up by 24-year-old Andy Richardson. Outgoing chairman David Middleton said: "We have a committee and we have a football club, which is a huge relief."
The club has teams from under-eight to under-18s and plays at Shuker Field.
