Top-level talks over A49 safety

Top-level talks were taking place today between two Shropshire MPs and the Highways Agency over safety improvements to the A49.

Shrewsbury MP Daniel Kawczynski and Ludlow's Philip Dunne were meeting highways bosses to press them on a possible upgrade.

There have been more than 40 serious crashes in the past four years on the A49 in Shropshire.
