Mackenzie Crook out of Shrewsbury Bookfest

Pirates of the Caribbean star Mackenzie Crook has pulled out of this year's Shrewsbury Bookfest, organisers said today.

The actor turned author cancelled his planned talk at Shrewsbury School on May 5 because of an 'unforeseen change' in his filming schedule.

A number of people who already bought tickets for the event are being promised a refund.

The 40-year-old star of The Office was due to make an appearance at the school's Ashton Theatre and give visitors an insight into his acting career.
