Police in Orleton wife hunt

A huge police search was under way today after a 63-year-old woman disappeared from her home near Ludlow.

Alethea Taylor, from Orleton, was last seen by her husband when he left for work at 8.30am on Thursday. Mr Taylor returned home at 4pm to discover she was not at home. She has not been seen since despite an overnight police search involving the helicopter.

Chris Ammonds, for West Mercia Police, said: "We believe she is vulnerable and there are concerns about her mental state."

Mrs Taylor is white, 5ft 7ins tall, with short dark but slightly greying hair. Call police on 0300 333 3000.
