Harley Bank accident causes partial road closure

A road was partially blocked when a vehicle crashed off the carriageway into a hedge near Much Wenlock today.

The driver of the black Isuzu escaped injury after the accident on the A458 Shrewsbury Road at Harley Bank at about 8.10am.

Richard Ewels, West Mercia Police spokesman, said: "The road was partially blocked and was cleared just after 10am. The driver, a man in his 50s, escaped injury but went to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for a check-up."

Firefighters made the vehicle safe.
