The creation of up to 250 jobs moved a step closer to becoming a reality today after work on a £3.5 million business park expansion in Shropshire was finished.
Shropshire Council is now offering plots for sale at Tern Valley Business Park in Market Drayton.
The 13.5-acre site on the edge of town close to the A53 boasts fully serviced development plots for office, light industry, general industry, storage and distribution uses.
Shirehall bosses said a number of companies were already eyeing up moves to the site and that interest from the business community had been strong.
The completion of phase two follows the success of the first phase of the business park, which is home to Muller Dairy.
Previous estimates in council reports suggest the park could sustain about 250 jobs if fully occupied.
David Minnery, Shropshire Council member for Market Drayton West, said: "I am really pleased to see that another important investment in jobs in Market Drayton is now ready to be launched."
Fellow council member Roger Hughes, said: "This is a uniquely situated site in a location close to major manufacturing centres and markets in the West Midlands, the Northwest and North Wales, which will create exciting investment and employment opportunities."
