Men rescued from stuck cherry picker in Market Drayton

Two men who became stranded 40ft in the air for more than two and a half hours were rescued by firefighters in north Shropshire.

Two men who became stranded 40ft in the air for more than two and a half hours were rescued by firefighters in north Shropshire.

The men were pruning trees in Elizabeth Court, Market Drayton, when power to the cherry picker they were using cut out at about 3pm yesterday.

After initial attempts by an engineer to fix the problem failed, firefighters from Market Drayton were called out. They used an aerial ladder platform to bring the men down.
