Tributes today poured in for a 19-year-old Shropshire hairdresser who was killed in a car crash on her way to work.

Friends said Kirstyn Moore, of Swan Meadow, Much Wenlock, was a "shining star" and her death had left hundreds of friends and family devastated.

Miss Moore died after her black Ford Ka was in collision with a silver Volkswagen Beetle on Saturday morning at Morville, near Bridgnorth.

She was on her way to work at Reds Salon in Bridgnorth.

The former William Brookes School pupil had worked at Salon Ten in Much Wenlock since leaving school and only moved to her new job a few months ago.

Penny Cooper, headteacher of William Brookes School said Miss Moore was "a lovely young person who blossomed into a confident young woman".

A Facebook page set up in her memory has attracted more than 100 members who have left dozens of tributes. Nikki McDonagh left a message on behalf of the hairdressing tutors and staff at the City of Wolverhampton University College .

She said: "You will always be remembered by everyone at college as the beautiful, bubbly blonde, always smiling, always glammed up, always laughing, always having fun and making others laugh."

Meanwhile, a driver who was killed near to junction three of the M54 at Albrighton on Sunday was a 51-year-old woman from Staffordshire.
