Firefighters were today still at the scene of a major barn fire in north Shropshire - five days after it broke out.
Fire officials and Environment Agency chiefs were due to meet today at the barn in Sutton Lane, Sutton upon Tern, which is used as a composting facility by Vital Earth Ltd.
The fire, which broke out on Wednesday, is still under investigation and firefighters have remained at the scene to prevent it from reigniting.
A spokesman for Shropshire Fire and Rescue said: "Firefighters are still at the site and are involved in a watching brief to make sure the fire doesn't restart. We are holding a meeting today to discuss what action should be taken next."
Emily Poyser, communications officer for the Environment Agency, said: "We will be involved in the meeting and have remained on site to prevent pollution."
The building, measuring about 150ft by 80ft, contained about 100 tonnes of waste products. There was a fire at the site on September 26 which involved about 450 tonnes of waste.
