Mrs Davies said: "When Yasmin was walking home she saw a boy kicking the kitten in the head. She was upset and shaken up but she saved the kitten and brought it home.
"I have always taught my children about looking after animals. I'm very proud and have been out to buy her some sweets as a way of saying well done. She wanted to keep it but I have a fur allergy so unfortunately we can't have cats."
Tara Morris, student veterinary nurse, said: "The kitten is so small it just should not have been out alone."
