Chris Kowalik, of the West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "A seven-year-old boy was injured in a collision with a car in Telford.
"We were called to Queen's Road in Donnington shortly after 6pm. An emergency care practitioner in a rapid response vehicle attended along with an ambulance crew.
"The boy sustained a head injury and was mobilised with the use of a spinal board and a neck collar and taken to the Princess Royal Hospital for further assessment and treatment."
Martyn Barnes, West Mercia Force duty inspector, said they were treating the incident as a "serious injury road traffic accident".
