William Hague in town to boost MP's bid
Shadow Foreign Secretary William Hague was due in Shropshire this evening to meet the party faithful and give a boost to Wrekin MP Mark Pritchard ahead of the General Election.
Shadow Foreign Secretary William Hague was due in Shropshire this evening to meet the party faithful and give a boost to Wrekin MP Mark Pritchard ahead of the General Election.
Mr Hague is scheduled to be guest of honour at a champagne and canape reception in Wellington from 7-9pm tonight at the home of landowner Peter Holt.
Up to 150 people are expected to attend the invitation-only function, being held to raise funds for Mr Pritchard's campaign in next year's General Election.
Mark Pritchard said: "I am delighted that William is coming to Shropshire to lend his personal support for my ongoing work in The Wrekin."
Wrekin Constituency Conservative Party deputy chairman Councillor Nigel Dugmore said: "Mr Hague is coming to help raise funds for the General Election campaign which will hopefully see Mr Pritchard re-elected."
