Residents to have say on traffic plans
An exhibition will enable residents of a Shropshire market town to have their say on traffic plans for the area.
Shropshire Council is urging people to contribute their views on proposed traffic changes for Much Wenlock.
A public exhibition outlining the changes is set to be staged at Holy Trinity Church, Wilmore Street, Much Wenlock, from October 19 to October 24.
It will provide information on more detailed proposals to be taken forward following a general consultation event held last November.
Information will be available on planned new measures for the busy A458 that passes through the town linking neighbouring Bridgnorth and Shrewsbury and the potential for a 20mph speed restriction in the town centre.
It will also provide a summary of the feedback from the consultation event, which gave people the opportunity to comment on general proposals for traffic enhancements and assisted in prioritising what schemes to take forward in the town.
Shropshire Council officers will be available to answer any questions and listen to any comments from 10am until 2pm on Saturday, October 24.
Councillor Martin Taylor-Smith, Shropshire Council's Cabinet member for strategic planning and transport, said: "This exhibition offers local people a chance to have a look and help shape proposals to make the roads safer in and around the town.
"We'd like to encourage people to come along and have their say."
