Object hits moving bus

An object was thrown at a moving bus in Wellington, causing a window to shatter.

The Arriva bus was travelling past Green Man Close in Wellington when the incident happened at about 6.25pm on Wednesday.

The bus driver noticed three young people – a male and two females – standing around and saw the male pick something up off the ground, police said.

One of the side windows of the bus, which was out of service, was shattered.

No passengers were on the bus at the time.
