A 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in a Telford skate park, police said today.
The teenager was attacked in the skate park in Alma Park, Malinslee, between 3am and 5am on Saturday.
Police investigating the attack, which happened behind The Church Wickets pub, have since arrested a 23-year-old man.
He remains at Telford's Malinsgate police station for questioning.
Denise Wakefield, Telford Police spokeswoman, said: "Police are eager to hear from anyone who was in or around the location at the said time. We are keen to build up a picture of the events occurring at that time."
Meanwhile, a 12-year-old boy was left covered in cuts and bruises when he was beaten up by a gang of youths in Telford Town Park at 1.15pm on Saturday.
Police said the attack, by a gang of four youths, was unprovoked.
Mrs Wakefield said the 12-year-old was with a group of friends when four youths they did not know approached and attacked the boy who eventually managed to run away and his friends called police.
She added: "The victim suffered cuts and bruises to his head, arms and body."
