One hurt as car crashes in village

A woman was taken to hospital after the car she was in overturned and ended up in a ditch in a village near Whitchurch.

The woman was helped from the vehicle by ambulance staff and firefighters after the crash on the A495 at Bronington at 3.15am.

She was taken to the Wrexham Maelor Hospital by ambulance with a back injury.

Crew manager Graham Field, from Whitchurch Fire Station, said the crash happened near to Bronington Church.

He said a man had already got out of the Toyota vehicle before crews arrived.
