Ex-county woman dies in car crash

A former Telford woman has died in a two-car crash in Pembrokeshire, it emerged today. She has been named as 27-year-old Claire Margaret Daniel.

A former Telford woman has died in a two-car crash in Pembrokeshire, it emerged today. She has been named as 27-year-old Claire Margaret Daniel.

Dyfed-Powys Police today named Miss Daniel, who lived in Pembrokeshire but still has family living in Telford.

She died in the collision on the B4329 near Woodstock Cross, Haverfordwest.

The smash involved a Nissan Micra and a Peugeot 306.

Investigations into how the accident happened were continuing today and police are appealing for anyone with any information to contact them.

The driver of the other car was uninjured in the crash which happened at around 11.30pm on Wednesday last week, police said.

Police said the coroner had been informed of the death.

They said a post mortem examination had also been carried out on Miss Daniel, who lived in the Woodstock area.

Inspector Alum Millichip, Dyfed-Powys Police spokesman, said: "There were two vehicles involved, namely a Nissan Micra motor car and a Peugeot 306 motor car.

"The female driver of the Nissan Micra received fatal injuries. The driver of the Peugeot was uninjured," he added.

Mr Millichip urged any witnesses to the accident to contact the investigating officer Pc Paul Rees at Dyfed Powys Police on 0845 330 2000

Today Dyfed Powys police force spokeswoman Eleri Morris confirmed that next of kin had been informed of the tragedy.

She added: "We can confirm that Claire Daniel lived in the Woodstock area of Pembrokeshire.

"However she did have family who lived in the Telford area."
