Yobs stole paint cans not 80 cars
LETTER - I would like to correct part of my letter published on June 12, (Town fast losing its name for quietness) which could have given the impression that Shifnal is becoming a den of thieves.

My letter should have read that local teenagers stole 80 cans of paint (line coat spray) and not 80 cars. The paint was supplied to a local firm and surely it should not require the powers of Sherlock Holmes to find out where the cans were stolen from.
I agree with Peter Paton's comments regarding the strip of ground overgrown with weeds just opposite his garage forecourt.
I had a similar problem when I complained for years about a small field which is covered with nettles and weeds after local residents were allowed to tip garden refuse there.
It's taken Bridgnorth District Council years to find out who the field belongs to, but what, if anything, is it going to do about it?
