Labour is not solely to blame

Both the Attlee and Wilson governments maintained high levels of armed forces.
It was the Conservative governments under Thatcher and Major who decimated the forces under the Options for Change and Front Line First white papers, the latter also being responsible for the closure of all military hospitals and the present lack of care facilities for wounded service personnel.
However, I agree with him over the issue of citizenship for Ghurka soldiers.
