Councillors ruining our town
LETTER - Regarding our council's "obligation" to provide a crest on the new Frankwell power station" (Severn Theatre), I feel a large white elephant rampant would be appropriate - twinned with the Secret Hills woolly Mammoth?

Also the Darwinian maggot and Mardol rusty spears could show off the excellent Battlefield refuse station or the latter on the town approaches set as barriers to deter migrant scrap metal collectors.
Why do councillors feel the need to erect these edifices in historic Shrewsbury with its wonderful architectural array of buildings, shuts, passages and streets.
Please feel free to use my council tax donations to visit York and Worcester and learn to promote heritage.
Even Birmingham admitted its mistake to "motorise" the city by reducing central traffic and catering for the pedestrian to be safe and wander freely.
Hopefully Morris's new development connecting the centres will improve the shopping experience too for the motorist - make Smithfield Road a dual carriageway with a roundabout/ gyratory at either end.
No right turns off and reverse the flow along Raven Meadows/Roushill so that town access is only off the south carriageway.
This would then allow the north side to flow freely through or return by access from the Station end.
Park and Ride is great, but keep the prices to a minimum, not as a profit maker. It should be a service.
