A quaint little village with wonderful floral displays in the summer at the old station.

A little further down is a cottage with a rather unusual "plant" in its garden. It is placed against a south-facing wall and sheltered by a wall to the west.

It does not appear to have any petals inside or out of it but if you touch it you will get stung and it will cause you a rather nasty rash called "points on your licence".

It is a speed camera and the correct bedding place for these is on the side of a road and not in people's gardens.

Yes I hold my hand up, I was doing 36mph in a 30mph zone and it has cost me 50 per cent of my weekly state pension. I am guilty as charged. But I do object to the way this camera is placed.

You could be forgiven for thinking it was the owner of the house sat watching TV or drinking coffee in the back of a van all day.

That is exactly what it looks like.

If we are to respect our police force, then don't do things under-handedly.

Come out on to the roadside and don't hide behind someone's garden wall.
