Members of a junior football team from Shropshire will be heading off to Germany this weekend with new football kits which have been donated after their old strips were stolen.
Bridgnorth Spartans under 14s had a new kit ready to take with them to Germany to twin town Shrobenhausen for the twin town friendship shield tournament.
The old kit was in the back of manager Neil Simpson's car which was stolen from outside his Claverley home last week.
After hearing of the club's plight, Market Drayton company Exo Sports donated the new kits in time for the team's departure to Germany on Saturday night.
Mr Simpson said: "There has been no sign of my car or the kit that was stolen but as a result of the incident being publicised Exo Sports picked up on the story and have kindly provided us with replacement kits free of charge.
"There were 16 strips stolen and the new kits will be very similar with red and black stripes.
"They got to wear the other kit just the once for a photo but to then have it taken away from them it was upsetting, so it's fantastic to have another one.
"All the lads either go to Oldbury Wells or Bridgnorth Endowed School so they are all local.
"We will be going to Shrobenhausen, one of the twin towns for the friendship shield where we play three games against a team there."
