There was a frenzy for the tickets at the Weston Park event when the website opened for business at 10am.

Star attractions include troubled singer and Grammy award winner Amy Winehouse, Muse, The Stereophonics and Kaiser Chiefs.

They will join around 100 acts who are all set to take to five stages at the 13th annual festival at Weston on the Shropshire border and at Chelmsford in Essex on August 16 and 17.

The Kings of Leon, new act Duffy, Alanis Morrisette and British favourites, Girls Aloud, have all been confirmed.

Festival directors, Bob Angus and Simon Moran, said: "We're chuffed to bits to sell out in just 90 minutes! It's a testament to this year's great line-up."
