Cat owners should also clean up

I would like to express my sheer disgust in all the articles that have been published about irresponsible dog owners and dog fouling.

I would like to express my sheer disgust in all the articles that have been published about irresponsible dog owners and dog fouling.

As a responsible dog owner myself, I do agree that we should clean up after our pets.

However, I also would like to point out that this should also extend to cat owners.

Many mornings I have left my property to take my children to school only to be met by the sight and smell of cat faeces.

This is obviously not a pretty sight first thing in the morning and is not acceptable by any means.

Having spoken to cat owners in my neighbourhood who say that they cannot police their cats 24 hours a day - I feel that the cats should be trained to litter trays or else owners should be fined for fouling the pavements.

As is in the case with dog owners.
