Room to improve at town store

I would like to compliment Morrisons supermarket in Shrewsbury to say what friendly helpful staff they all are in every department.

Checkout staff always have time and a friendly smile. Customer service, the people stocking shelves and also restaurant staff are due credit.

I hope Morrisons management staff appreciate what good staff they have working for them. I am yet to see anything good to comment about in the Tesco's store at Shrewsbury.

Staff are unhelpful and too busy talking in groups, and not really interested if you ask a question about a stock item. It's a waste of body energy to find anything.

There were no baskets available when I shopped at lunchtime. I asked a member of staff, who then walked six aisles down to find one at the end of a checkout.

While I shopped, nothing was done to even attempt to find any baskets to fill stock pile through the door.

Forget employing any checkout staff at 9.15am, all the checkout person was interested in was telling me to pull the barrier across because she wanted to close.

So no checkout staff required, just leave all bar code service to your own devices, at least you do not need to look at someone who does not seem happy to be working in a supermarket.

So I guess it's best for me to not shop at Tesco's in Shrewsbury and keep shopping at Morrisons where nothing is too much trouble.

The Tesco's store in Telford has got its act together so take note Shrewsbury, there's room for improvement.
