Bus stop removal not my fault
Many bus services from the south and east of the town have been redirected along Town Walls and down St John's Hill before rejoining the normal route in Barker Street because of the current highway works in Wyle Cop.

A temporary bus stop was placed at the bottom of St John's Hill and this proved very popular, enabling passengers to gain easy access to shops at the bottom end of the town.
The removal of this temporary stop is very much regretted by traders. I personally had absolutely nothing to do with this decision and indeed think it was a mistake.
Drivers of the buses have been telling passengers that I am responsible for the changes, which is false and totally misleading.
I would welcome reinstatement of this temporary stop.
As a councillor I am happy to be responsible for many unpopular things that happen but please don't blame me for things I neither want or had any involvement with.
