Why are the roads in a state?
While travelling home, I took time to notice the awful state of the roads in the Harlescott/Sundorne areas of Shrewsbury.

First, I went past the now disused Tesco supermarket - when is the council going to do something positive with the site?
Secondly, I waited longer than necessary on Featherbed Lane. This was due to queuing traffic following the railway crossings being shut, and inconsiderate drivers then backing up over the traffic lights junction at the crossroads.
How much does a tin of yellow paint cost so that the boffins in highways might be able to paint a yellow box as per the Highway Code diagrams?
As I then turned right and made my way northwards - I thought that I had landed in another country, somewhere that would have a multi lane freeway.
I am talking about the new road layout on approach to the new Tesco site - how much are the idiots being paid to design this system?
I would be grateful if somebody could help my enquiries.
