Nasa has not issued an apology
I read with interest John Phillimore's recent comments about global warming, particularly his contention that Nasa had just admitted, he wrote, that contrary to their previous statements "the hottest year was in 1938 not 1998".
I read with interest John Phillimore's recent comments about global warming, particularly his contention that Nasa had just admitted, he wrote, that contrary to their previous statements "the hottest year was in 1938 not 1998".
Being a keen surveyor of this debate and not having heard this before I checked the Nasa website.
To my surprise I discovered that, contrary to Mr Phillimore's assertion, Nasa has issued no such apology and its website, updated on August 22, clearly shows that their data shows 2005 and 1998 to be the two hottest years on record.
Mr Phillimore has contacts in Nasa that no-one else has, or is he just being disingenuous?
Can he provide a basis for his comment, which he used outrageously to ridicule Derek Cole, or will he perhaps apologise for his error and accept, as Nasa apparently does, that global warming has happened and is continuing?
