No danger of brains being used

At last I have found out why my blood pressure is always high. It is caused by my high salt intake.

You see, Bob Wydell of Oswestry, who is a regular contributor to your letters pages, is at it again and one has to take everything Bob Wydell says with a pinch of salt, hence my high salt intake.

However in his missive on June 7 he starts off by saying "It is clear that I do not have the brain or foresight to become a politician".

I was always under the impression that these were the least demanding attributes of a politician.

With a brain, there is a danger of exercising some thought and with foresight, a greater danger of getting something right.

When did you last see these being exercised by a politician?

If they did, you wouldn't have been able to write the rest of your letter, Bob.
