Dismayed by stance on parking
On June 4 I had to attend the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for treatment. I arrived at 11.15am, got my ticket and placed it on view with my disabled cards in a disabled parking bay.
On June 4 I had to attend the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for treatment. I arrived at 11.15am, got my ticket and placed it on view with my disabled cards in a disabled parking bay.
My appointment was 11.20am, but I wasn't called in until 11.40am.
I arrived back at my car at 11.50am to find a £40 parking fine on my windscreen.
It appears they have made the disabled area (opposite the bus stop), a 20 minute area, but the sign is halfway along the row and not visible from where I parked.
Twenty minutes is ridiculous. Anyone having to get a wheelchair out, then the patient to a clinic, would take up 20 minutes alone.
I am writing to let other people know what to expect and not be caught out.
