Organisers are hailing the show as one of the best attended ever, despite the poor weather.

Neil English, director of Events Development, said: "It started to rain from about 2pm on the Sunday, but despite that everything that was planned went ahead. It all went really well and everyone is looking forward to next year.

"Everyone left with a smile on their face despite the rain and the local trade stalls have also commented on good business over the two days."

"Geoff Capes was fantastic and worked non-stop on both days signing autographs and meeting people."

Last year's show attracted hundreds of trucks and more than 10,000 visitors.

Mr English said: "We are hoping this year's event has drawn in a record crowd despite the weather, but we won't know yet until we have the exact figures."

Mr English added: "Saturday was definitely busier than last year. The event has grown from strength to strength and we are looking forward to next year."
