Letter taken the wrong way

On March 19 you published a letter by myself highlighting my disbelief at ministers wanting to send text messages to immigrants reminding them when their visa is nearly up.

Unfortunately, Anil Saini, of Ketley, viewed the letter as an insult to immigrants in general, which was not intended.

I know I would strongly object to a text saying "it's time to go". But the Government does not seem to think it would cause a problem.

That's why I asked would they provide plane tickets and congestion charge tokens to add insult to the text message.

Telford is a developing area with companies and workers from all over the world working together, living together and socialising together.

When people want to move to the area to start a new life more should be done to help - not a text message to remind them to go.
