Let's have no return to hanging
We in Europe live in a civilised society, unlike the USA where they hold convicted murderers for many years and then despatch them by whatever means they are using at the time.
So, Mr Wydell wants to go back to the "good old days" and hang all murderers.

Our laws call for a jury to hear evidence and come to a decision but whether that decision is 100 per cent correct is doubtful.
A few months ago a woman was released from prison after her conviction for murdering her two children was overturned.
Unfortunately this poor woman suffered so much at the hands of inmates, the media and the public that she could not cope with it. Mr Wydell would have had her hanged.
There are so many cases where the convicted person has been proved innocent, sometimes after many years.
There are Andrew Adams, Stuart Gair, Andrew Smith, Dave Ashbury and the Birmingham Four to name a few.
It cannot be right under any circumstances to kill a fellow human being.
