Africa trek pair net £8,000
A 56-year-old man from the Powys/Shropshire border has successfully completed a trek to the top of Africa's highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro, and raised £4,000 for charity.

Wynne Owen, from Churchstoke, returned home from his African adventure on Wednesday, tired, but otherwise none the worse for his adventure.
Accompanying Mr Owen on the Marie Curie Cancer-organised extreme fundraiser, was Jamie Challinor, 33, the boyfriend of Wynne's daughter Rachel, who also made it to the top of the 19,340ft peak.
The pair were among just nine of a total expedition of 43 who achieved the summit.
"It was just fantastic. It was out of this world. You can't really explain how it felt," said Mr Owen.
He said that Mr Challinor, from Pontesbury, also raised about £4,000 to fund Marie Curie nurses in the region and the whole expedition had raised more than £130,000 - a record for any such group.
"The people of Montgomeryshire and Churchstoke have been fantastic in their support for us. I can't thank them enough for everything they have done," he said.
The adventure started on March 13 when they set out on a flight to Amsterdam.
