Impressed by NHS staff
I am writing this letter to express my concern over all the negativity surrounding the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. Although I understand that there are many issues around the NHS, I have always believed that these are not down to the hands of staff.

After a recent rather unplanned emergency visit to the RSH, followed by a week's stay over the Christmas period, I have only praise and admiration for all the staff, from auxiliaries to consultants.
My journey began on Christmas night when I was attended to by a local rapid response member and two paramedics.
I cannot remember any of this but I have been told that they were remarkable.
This followed through to A&E at the RSH where again I was thoroughly cared for. My stay in both the MEC and ward 24 was made comfortable by the care and extreme cleanliness of the wards.
I know that not everyone's experience is the same but I feel that if these people can work so hard and such long hours with a constant smile and always a hello in not the most glamourous job then the least they deserve is a little bit of praise.
