NHS care shambles
So the Government has admitted it is perceived as a shambles. I totally agree; it has systematically destroyed this country, especially our world class health service.

I was taken ill at 8.30am on December 15 and tried to ring a doctor. As usual the line was engaged so I decided to ring NHS Direct.
After 10 minutes answering dozens of questions I was finally told that someone would ring me back, but there was a waiting list of up to four hours.
They actually rang back after two hours during which time I had decided to keep trying my own GP. I eventually got an appointment to see a doctor at 2.30pm.
When I did see the doctor he advised me to get down to the hospital immediately, which I did.
At the hospital I was admitted as an emergency and after an overnight stay I was released and advised to contact my own GP as soon as I got home on the morning of December 18.
I started to ring the surgery at 8.30am.
After getting the usual engaged signal for 20 minutes I finally got through and was told that the first appointment available was for January 5, a wait of two weeks.
I don't think that any of our MPs would accept this kind of treatment for themselves or their families. Can you imagine Cherie or Tony waiting two weeks?
If this is an example of the NHS doing well, let's hope it doesn't get sick.
