Do we have to put up with it?

Many of us have, no doubt, sat for far too long waiting for that rare break in the traffic to get out of or into our village. To add to our usual woes we now seem to be quite regularly inconvenienced by temporary traffic lights between the Fox Inn and The Three Fishes.

Apparently, on at least two occasions the work was finished and life returned to "normal". Then we found that they were back, digging up the same trench and once again we're held up by the same temporary lights.

Is this a case of inadequate repairs which need to be re-done? Is it an on-going project which needs to be returned to in phases? If the former is the case, is it the result of someone's incompetence? Are the contractors subject to a penalty clause?

Either way, the residents of Bayston Hill surely deserve at least an apology for the inconvenience.
