Must stop pushing city plans
Why are our town councillors so keen to make Telford a city? Why do they strive to make Telford something most have come here to escape from, especially "the bustling nightlife"?

We are already becoming the traffic light and white line capital of Shropshire. The West Midlands city region, which they have been so keen to join, will inevitably lead to a mayor of Birmingham making decisions about Telford, and us paying towards it.
The so-called jobs created will probably be mostly at minimum wage which will prevent young people from buying so-called affordable housing. Our local hospitals are already at full stretch; how are they to cope with all the extra people?
Most people I know are very worried about the way the council and the English Partnerships quango are covering green space with houses and destroying the green Telford which was so pleasant. It would appear that councillors are intent on us losing our Shropshire identity. I wonder why.
One other point is that they say the Town Park will rival Central Park in New York. Why?
Our Town Park is a wonderful safe nature reserve as it is, but only a fool would dare venture into Central Park during the night.
