Museum's sale must be stopped
With reference to the proposed sale of the wonderful museum and grand old building, Rowley's House - does Shrewsbury and Atcham Council have the right to do this?
Did they consult local people, the people of Shrewsbury or the people of Shropshire about the disposal of this county and national heritage asset into private hands?
The sale should be stopped.
It is wrong to lose this amazing building into private hands, so that the people of Shrewsbury and the county, and the public at large will no longer be able to view the inside of this great building, and have such close, tangible contact with their history.
It appears that the council just want to raise cash for other schemes.
If the county allows this, they will regret what they have lost in the future.
Please stop the sell-off.
